Gear rental

This page gives suggestions on where to rent or buy gear and equipment.

UPDATE: As of 4/12/2023, the Outdoor Adventures Rental Center remains closed until further notice.

To rent:

1. Go to the Outdoor Adventures Rental Center at the North West corner of the John Wooden Center. They can rent you most camping or backpacking equipment like ground pads, sleeping bags, and backpacks. If you know you need equipment for a trip, go to the rental center sooner rather than later because they may run out of more popular items (especially if it's a holiday weekend and many people might be going on trips).

To buy:

1. You can also buy gear at the REI in Santa Monica or go to an REI garage sale for great deals on used equipment. Here is the link to the REI website and more information about the garage sales. (REI does not currently do rentals)
